Olympic special / Spotlight on Italy / Day 2

July 30, 2012

Day 2 of the Olympics was a little less exciting for team Italy than the first one, but still, matches played, medals won. Business as usual for the Italians.

You don’t wanna mess with this one. Rosalba Forciniti took the bronze in the women’s under 52kg  judo competition, after defeating Marie Muller from Luxembourg by judges decision in an exciting third place show-down. I don’t want to make this lady angry.

Boys can fence too. The silver medal in the men’s individual saber event went to Diego Occhiuzzi, but I’m afraid I can’t tell you much about that one-I’m clearly not very knowledgeable about the sport, but kudos to the athletes, of course.

That’s it for now, stay tuned for more info on the Italian Olympic team!
